This role presents an exciting opportunity for an accounting specialist who wants to make an immediate impact. You will need good accounting qualifications, analytical skills, excellent computer literacy and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Duties:

Assist the Vendor Rebates and Promotions manager with accounting and financial functions to report to management. This department maintains, reconciles, and collects vendor promotional and pricing programs for our customers, and vendor Spiff programs for company?s sales representatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

?Oversee the billing; reconciliation and reimbursement of all manufacture Spiff programs.

?Provide monthly analysis, commentaries, and sales incentive rep report for management. (Controller?s Worksheet)

?Prepare and record journal entries in SAP to pay out the sales incentives.

?Assist researching sales incentive differences between Animal Health International Inc., the vendor, or the sales rep.

?Maintain and load the profit builder.

?Scorecard of spiff performance for finance and marketing - sales dollars by promotion, spiff dollars by promotion (threshold of $5000), open balances past due, ROI promotion, comparisons of promotions with non-promotional time frames, criteria by spiff strategies, criteria by time frame, etc.

?Perform various analytical functions, including analyzing proposed introduction of new programs and market changes and provide actionable insights.

?Provide monthly reports for vendors ? Merial Zactran, Miltex/Integra, etc.

?Assist management in analyzing their business to improve operating and financial performance.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

?Strong verbal and written communication skills

?Strong interpersonal skills

?Computer skills, Office Excel, Outlook, ERP systems such as SAP

?Strong analytical skills

?Financial and business background

Education or Formal Training:

?Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
