Job Description:
A company is looking for a Markets and Trade Independent
Consultant to support the USAID-funded Famine Early Warning Systems
Network (FEWS NET) project.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth analyses of markets and trade affecting food
security
Identify and manage market-related data sets and develop tools for
data interpretation
Produce reports and insights to inform team strategies and engage
with external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related
field with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree
with a minimum of 6 years of experience
Substantial experience with USAID FEWS NET and data relevant to
agroclimatology and acute food insecurity
Proven experience in market and trade analysis focusing on acute
food security
Experience with Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC)
and related reporting
Experience working in a consultative or advisory capacity is
preferred but not required
