Security Engineer Job in the Denver Tech Center, CO
 
A top client located in the Denver Tech Center, CO is looking for a Security Engineer.   The Security Engineer will be responsible for all SDLC activities working closely with the Strategy and Innovation teams to integrate security at all layers of a particular system via requirements and assessment activities, the Development team via Design Constraints, the Operations teams via testing and assessment activities. This team is also responsible for all patterns and system related functions utilized by the Security Operations Center. Systems are including, but not limited to Imperva, Ingrian, Cisco IPS, Splunk and Archer. This is a Direct Hire position!
       
Duties to be Performed on the Job
• Perform risk assessments on Application and Infrastructure systems
• Perform vulnerability and penetration tests
• Management of Information Security systems
• Perform research and analysis for presentation of information to IT Security Senior Management
• Responsible for owning Compliance related activities
• Coordinate with the Forensics & Pattern detection team to build, test, implement, maintain and decommission all detection and incident detection patterns.  
 
Required Skills and Experience
• At least 3+ years’ experience in Information Security
• Extensive knowledge of system, network, application and database level architecture.
• Extensive knowledge common IT architectures
• Demonstrated and documented experience in the creation of event correlation patterns
• Expert understanding of Windows, Linux and BSD Based Operating Systems, and networking
• Expert knowledge in of all the core internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc)
• Extensive knowledge of a scripting or programming language
• Extensive knowledge of Regular Expressions
• Extremely process and detail oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
