Job Description:
Business Analyst Job in Denver, CO
A top client located in Denver, CO is looking for a Business
Analyst. The Business Analyst will be responsible to work with
business clients to develop overall IT strategic goals for their
area and then evaluate, enhance/implement systems and business
processes to meet those goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop IT solution roadmaps
• Identify and document business processes through interviewing
business clients
• Analyzing existing systems and processes
• Conduct gap analyses between business requirements and system
capabilities
• Conduct vendor evaluations and help negotiate commercial
terms
• Help implement selected solutions with vendors
• Facilitate and conduct testing as needed (system, UAT, etc.)
• Facilitate training sessions for products
• May develop and execute project plans (Separate Project
Management staff is available for larger projects)
• May help with reporting and user interfaces
• Work with applications support analysts to manage the lifecycle
of your supported applications from implementation to retirement,
including license procurement, license usage monitoring,
maintenance renewals, version control, and annual budget
planning
• Initiate, plan, communicate, and oversee the deployment of new
applications and existing application upgrades
• Work proactively with other IT groups to successfully size,
implement and maintain the operation of a variety of web based and
third party hosted applications
Qualifications:
• A minimum of four years’ experience as a business analyst in the
oil and gas exploration and production industry. Minimum of
six years overall experience as a business analyst
• Experience supporting one or more of the following business areas
is a plus:
• Asset and Maintenance Management – Top priority
• Midstream and Gas Marketing – Top priority
• Environmental Health & Safety – Second Priority
• SCADA
• Oil & Gas Production
• Land
• Finance and Accounting
