University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental
Medicine welcomes applications from exceptional candidates for
full-time Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (clinical teaching or
tenure track) in the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in
the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry. The
primary responsibilities will include didactic and clinical
instruction of students and residents, scholarly activities, and
service. We are seeking an outstanding individual with excellent
leadership skills to contribute to all aspects of our clinical
practice, our educational programs, and the research impact of our
institution. The Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical
Dentistry is home to four divisions - the Divisions of
Periodontics, Endodontics, Diagnostic Sciences, and Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery. The successful candidate will be an Oral &
Maxillofacial Surgeon, outstanding clinician-educator with interest
in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship.
Examples of Work Performed Clinical and Clinical Teaching Primary
responsibilities include clinical care, sedation coverage, and
clinical teaching focused on collaboratively building and/or
maintaining programs within the SDM that provide quality service
regarding local, state, national, and international needs in
alignment with the mission and strategic plan of the SDM.
Participation in the faculty practice is also expected; faculty are
expected to have 40% of their time engaging in considerable
clinical activity. Service Service responsibilities include service
to the assigned program, the school, and with other
responsibilities as negotiated. Research/Scholarship Research
/scholarship responsibilities offer an opportunity collaborate on
or initiate programmatic inquiry and scholarship in alignment with
