JMT, is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms.Position summary: Responsible for business development, financial success, strategic planning, growth, and managing staff for the transportation practice at the regional level.Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Coordinate strategic growth plan with office leaders and practice leaders
• Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development
• Manage financial budget for practice and allocate resources accordingly
• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals
• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff
• Establish resources staffing needs for the practice on a regional level
• Interview and make recommendations for hiring staff for the practice
• Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team.Nonessential functions and responsibilities:
  • Perform other related duties as assignedCompensation is $175,000 to $225,000 annually orcommensurate with experience, education, and certifications.Required Skills

      • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
      • Professional Engineer License or equivalent
      • 15+ years' experience in specialized discipline including supervisory, project management, and business development
      • Demonstrated experience leading others
      • Project management and business development experience
      • Experience working with local clients at the state, county, and major municipality levelQualification Preferred
        • Master's degree in specialty fieldWorking Conditions:Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
