Job Description:

Position Summary: Responsible for fabrication and assembly of complex compacting tooling and other related production tooling to supplied prints to satisfy internal customers.

Essential Functions:

Analyzes, plans, sets up and performs all machine and bench operations necessary to make, alter or repair complex tools; i.e. compaction tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, injection molds or gauges of complex design.

Works from complicated blueprints, diagrams or samples to very close tolerances (.0002¿ range).

Is proficient at applying the highest degree of craftsmanship and hand finishing and fitting of tooling; i.e. hand radiusing and carbides.

Maintains competency in state of the art tool making technology.

Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge; trains other employees.

Understands and meets quality standards. Seeks to minimize reject rate.

Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.

Possesses the ability to use the computer system for basic departmental functions.

Is proficient at using the manufacturing computer system to accurately enter time, part transfers, scrap and any other transactions necessary to maintain accurate and timely records.

Must maintain acceptable level of performance.

Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing intermediate language and high math skills.

Experience in machining of carbide a plus.

Hours flexible 7:00am-3:00pm or 6:00am-2:00pm
