Responsibilities Performs daily, weekly and monthly production,
maintenance and repairs of all Shredder related equipment. Working
in conjunction with the management team, develops a strategy for
working safely, efficiently and effectively. Assigns specific roles
related to a repair to individual peers.EVRAZ is committed to

- Promotes safety with co-works and have the ability to push the
stop button when a potential unsafe act is determined
- Maintains and repairs conveyors, bearing shaft head pulleys,
tail pulleys, gearboxes and safely changing out hammers and mill
liners
- Ensuring all work areas are clean, tidy and free from unsafe
conditions at all times
- Assist the management team with planning projects, providing
input and recommendations to safely initiate, the most efficient
and effective approach
- Monitors and inspects equipment to avoid failures before they
happen
- Understands monthly shred commitments to the mill and assist
with getting rail cars out to reduce dermerge charges.
- Ability to understand the cost associated with a particular
repair and the effect it has to the bottom line
- Ability to mentor fellow employees, sharing skill
sets/knowledge and allow for input
- Performs other duties as they might be assignedRequirements
- Completion of High School and/or equivalent
- 1-3 years' experience working on shredders
- Mechanically inclined
- Welding experience considered an Asset
- Ability to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to follow directives
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
required
- Establishes trust with team members, stating clear expectations
and recognizes group morale and acts to protect and/or build as
required
- Ability to Initiate and take action before being required to do
so
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to
effectively communicate and comprehend job-related information,
instructions, and documentationCompensation: $27.50 - $30 depending
