leadership position for a CONOPS/Systems Engineer with experience
in Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination
(TCPED). Strong Systems Engineering background and ability to work
in a team environment.The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA)
Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and
organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of
high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers'

execution.What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute Mission-level CONOPS for the defense,
intelligence, and civil aerospace sectors.
- Communicate to customers and other stake-holders at all levels
of the TCPED chain
- Support business development, IRADs, and program execution for
Space, Air, and Ground Segment efforts
- Perform system engineering plus modeling & simulation for a
variety of tactical and surveillance missions leveraging Model
Based Systems Engineering.
- Provide engineering support across multiple and diverse new
business pursuits by developing concepts to meet customer space
mission needs.
- Objectively define, execute, and report on trade studies that
provide data for decision making to our customers.
- Develop metrics to evaluate concepts that represent mission
utility for the customer.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capability
Units, and the Company.
- Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and
productive work environment.
- Prepare and give presentations to
peers/management/customers.
- Provide technical direction to junior engineers through the
development lifecycle.
- Lead technical proposal development.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic
Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with
others in order to maintain a positive and productive work
environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work
location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and
other possible non-company locations may be required.Working
Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor,
or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of
protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather
conditions.#IJSRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may
substitute for two years of experience. Related technical
experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be
from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an
agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department
of Education.
- A current, active Top Secret security clearance is
required.
- Knowledge of operations at Segment, SV, bus, payload, and
ground level.
- Experience of operations at different life cycle phases
(Launch, Checkout & Initialization, Normal Operations, Maintenance,
Anomaly Resolution, End of Life Decommissioning).
- MBSE experience - familiarity of MBSE and Digital Systems to
create activity diagrams, functional models, modes and states to
define the CONOPS.
- System level thinking - desire to see the big picture and how
behavioral aspects of the collection segment enable mission
objectives.
- Customer Relationships: Extensive knowledge of missions and
customers across core technologies areas. Knowledge/experience
working with critical customer base, established relationships with
key personnel within customer community.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in
relevant business environments.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and analyzing mission
concepts, including space, launch, and ground components.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of hardware program
execution, including early planning, design reviews, manufacture,
assembly, integration, test, sell-off, and on-orbit mission
operation.
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes,
including requirements development, concept of operations,
requirement allocation, change management, verification, and
validation.
- Excellent presentation skills with documented presentation
experience to senior decision making and technical audiences.
- Experience with STK, AFSIM, CAMEO, and/or other modeling
tools.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Broad exposure to the TCPED cycle.
- Experience working in and with controlled, classified security
environments.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610.000 -
$215270.000Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
