range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is
$290,300 - $479,200.Hybrid work option - Staff will be assigned to

SummaryThe PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Chief of
Audit Intelligence in the Division of Registration and Inspections
(DRI). DRI inspects registered public accounting firms in
connection with the firms' performance of audits, issuance of audit
reports, and related matters involving issuers, and brokers and
dealers. The Chief of Audit Intelligence will report to the
Director of DRI and oversee the management and use of audit
profession, audit firm, and inspection information necessary for
the effective planning, execution, innovation, and evolution of
inspection activities. This position will also provide leadership
related to technology and related data analytics to enhance future
registration and inspections activities. This position will lead
senior leaders, (e.g., Deputy Directors and other experienced
professionals) in the Audit Intelligence Group that directly
contribute to the PCAOB's mission of protecting
investors.ResponsibilitiesReport to the DRI Director on DRI's
efforts in effectively using audit profession, audit firm, and
inspection information to enhance inspections, promote innovation
and the evolution of inspection programs and inspection related
activities, and to achieve other inspections related goals and
objectives in support of the PCAOB's Strategic Plan.Provide
leadership and oversight to the effective collection, analysis and
use of audit profession, audit firm, and inspection information.
This includes information relevant to the following
inspection-related activities for all inspections
programs:Anticipate, monitor, and analyze trends and emerging risks
in the business environment and in the audit profession, all with a
focus on driving improvement in audit quality to protect
investors.Develop strategies for inspection and inspection-related
activities, including inspections planning, and audit engagement
selections and reviews.Review and analyze firm reporting, including
annual and periodic data requests, and non-recurring reporting
requirements.Analyze inspections data and use that data to enhance
future inspections activities.Lead inspections innovation
activities, including innovation using data analytics and
technology.Provide leadership over DRI's registration and
inspections technology activities.Interact with firm leadership and
DRI senior leaders on emerging risks, data requests, firm
technologies, and recurring inspection trends.Contribute to the
reporting on results of inspections, including inspection reports,
Spotlights, and other written and oral communications, including
developing innovative ways to share information to improve audit
quality and protect investors.Monitor and evaluate audit
profession, firm, and inspections information for matters for the
attention of the Board, other Offices and Divisions, and other DRI
senior leaders.Collaborate with other Divisions and Offices in
support of their strategic objectives.Represent the PCAOB at
various speaking events in specialized industry conferences or
forums, as requested.Oversee the assignment, review, supervision,
and performance evaluation of assigned personnel, including senior
leaders in DRI.Actively participate in DRI's Performance Review
Committee.Oversee or participate in the development of learning and
development opportunities for inspections staff.Participate, as
requested, in the PCAOB's recruiting process.Participate in DRI's
succession planning activities.QualificationsEducation/Technical
ExpertiseCurrent CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CISA
(Certified Information Systems Auditor).Bachelor's degree in
accounting and/or in a technology related field.Minimum of 20 years
of recent progressively responsible experience in (1) the audit of
publicly traded companies or brokers and dealers or (2) information
technology areas.Comprehensive knowledge of PCAOB rules and
standards and generally accepted accounting principles.Proven
leadership, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills,
including the ability to deal effectively with people and
adversarial situations, to make decisions and find solutions, and
to encourage and support change.Demonstrated self-starter with
sound independent judgment and initiative, skilled in time
management and prioritization.Ability to manage expectations
effectively and handle multiple projects with competing deadlines
simultaneously.Proven relationship skills and the ability to
partner and work strategically with individuals both internal and
external to DRI and the PCAOB to drive overall solutions while
managing issues and risks.Proven ability to adapt quickly to
diverse work experience and assignments.Ability to handle sensitive
employee and business information with utmost
confidentiality.Superior communication skills, both written and
verbal.Executive level presentation skills.Ability to clarify and
summarize issues and propose solutions to individuals both internal
and external to DRI and the PCAOB.Superior attention to
detail.Ability to travel, as needed.Preferred
QualificationsMBA/master's degree.Executive level experience.Public
speaking experience.Recent 5+ years of experience in data
management and governance, computer science, software engineering,
business administration, or related field.Recent experience with
modern technologies, including, but not limited to digital
transformation and leading innovation.Experience with continuous
process improvement methodologies and related
tools.Leadership/Management Skills and AbilitiesProven ability to
